Facial Cleansing 2.0

Facial cleansing or facial hygiene? Regardless of what we call it, the goal of every facial aesthetic treatment is to improve skin quality and diminish the external signs of aging. This, in its 2.0 version, has come to be known as anti-aging.

Every facial cleansing involves a series of essential steps to achieve a good result: complete makeup removal and deep exfoliation, extraction of impurities, a soothing and rebalancing mask, serum and specific treatment cream, and finally, adequate sun protection. However, the factors that differentiate a “fast-food” facial from a 3-star treatment are essentially:

  • using high-quality cosmetics
  • performing a proper skin diagnosis

Regarding cosmetics, the use of premium brands with a high concentration of active ingredients in a facial hygiene treatment drastically improves results. It also allows for the replacement of obsolete technologies such as ozone steam with products that enhance performance and minimize any potential discomfort.

But the element that is often overlooked in facial aesthetic treatments is the importance of having them performed by expert professionals who first conduct a proper diagnosis of the patient’s skin and develop an action plan to achieve a specific goal, whether it be hydrating, eliminating fine lines, desensitizing, or normalizing oil production. Ultimately, a 2.0 facial aesthetic treatment—whether called facial cleansing or facial hygiene—can be, in the right hands, a highly useful therapeutic tool in addition to a private moment of relaxation and well-being.
