Ear aesthetic surgery or otoplasty is a simple procedure that corrects alterations and deformities in the position, shape, and proportion of the ears. These circumstances can be caused by congenital defects, present from birth, or may have occurred during the patient's life, from childhood onwards, through other unforeseen means such as injuries or accidents.
Otoplasty, therefore, can be performed on both children and adults. It usually does not require hospitalization as it is typically performed with local anesthesia and sedation, although in cases where general anesthesia is used, it is common to stay one night in the clinic until its effects subside. The scars from the procedure are concealed behind the ear, and its immediate and long-term results are highly valued by our patients.
