At Lago Aesthetic Medicine, we have been specialists in laser hair removal for over 30 years. We have a wide range of laser hair removal equipment with the most effective technology for permanent hair removal of any type and from all body areas.
The Diode laser and Alexandrite laser technology we use in our clinics are the most effective, reducing the number of sessions required.
Furthermore, our equipment holds all the safety certifications from American and German medical authorities.
Our equipment includes:
To ensure effectiveness and safety, it is essential that the treatment is performed in a medical center by specialized hair removal healthcare personnel, who will determine the most suitable equipment for your skin type, hair, and area to be treated.

Medical laser hair removal uses light energy (pulses of light) to remove unwanted hair. The light energy is absorbed by the hair pigment (melanin) and converted into heat, thereby damaging the hair follicle matrix and preventing it from producing new hair.
It is necessary to have the best equipment so that the energy is directed by the hair color and not by the skin color. The greater the difference between the two colors, the easier it is to remove hair permanently.
Laser hair removal is less effective for hair colors that do not absorb light well: gray, red, blonde, and white. In these cases, we use thermolysis for hair removal.
It will depend on various factors, such as age, sex, the area to be treated, hair type and skin phototype. We could say that the average number of sessions is 6 to 8 to achieve a satisfactory result.
Laser hair removal should not be performed on pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. It is also important to consider if you are taking any photosensitive medication, such as certain antibiotics or acne treatments. In such cases, the session would need to be postponed for the period the Doctor deems appropriate.
Both types of laser are effective for hair removal, provided we are discussing quality long-pulse equipment and effective skin cooling systems. The Alexandrite laser is more suitable for fine or lightly pigmented hair, provided the skin is not very dark or tanned. In such cases, the Diode laser is more appropriate, as it allows for hair removal on skin with residual tan and on darker skin tones.
